For the past 14 years Stephanie has acted as Project Coordinator for Amy's Gift, a Quad Cities Eating Disorders Consortium, championing the hope, help and healing of those with eating disorders in our community. She facilitates that work as part of her role as Community Relations Specialist at the Robert Young Center for Community Mental Health, where she offers yoga and mindfulness classes to promote wellness, stress reduction, and resiliency for QC Trinity/Muscatine UnityPoint Health team members as well as partnering businesses and organizations throughout the community.

She is also a member of the Trauma Support Team with Challenge to Change, Inc. as a Mindful Education Instructor, where she facilitates classes in long-term mental health facilities with a trauma-informed lens.

Her own healing journey navigating mental and physical health challenges has led her to somatic practices, whether it was through the creative expression of acting in theatre or the restorative work that practicing reiki, meditation, yoga and other healing modalities had to offer.

She believes our ability to connect deeply to our selves in the present moment - wherever we are - , to ‘yoke’ our body with our intention and our breath, gives us a direct line to our own knowing that not only are we safe to be and create, but also to heal. I wish to offer this gift to my students alongside the ancient asanas and breathing techniques of Patanjali so they may better know themselves and realize the gift of their own Presence.
